Top Features of the 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500

Robust Powertrain Options

The new Silverado 1500 has four engine options. The standard engine on the base model is the 310 horsepower TurboMax motor which produces 430 lb-ft of torque and comes paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine, which produces 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, is available on the base model and comes standard on select higher trims. Chevy also offers two additional engines for the Silverado 1500: the 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 and the Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel. All three engines are matched with a 10-speed automatic transmission, but only the 5.3L EcoTec3 is offered on the base model.

Comprehensive Safety Features

Thanks to Chevy Safety Assist, peace of mind is a standard feature across all trim levels of the new Silverado 1500. Features such as Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking will steer and apply the brakes when necessary to either reduce the severity of a potential impact or prevent it altogether.

Other safety and driver assist features include:

  • Following Distance Indicator
  • Forward Collision Alert
  • IntelliBeam auto high beams
  • Front pedestrian braking

Engineered for Longevity

The 2025 Silverado 1500’s high-strength, roll-formed steel Durabed provides best-in-class cargo bed volume. The 12 fixed tie-downs make it easy to keep cargo secure, while the spray-on bedliner prevents damage to the bed and simplifies.

For added flexibility, drivers can opt for the Multi-Flex Tailgate. It features six different configurations, including primary and inner gate load stops, which prevent items from sliding out of the bed. The inner gate also folds out into a work surface perfect for reading construction plans or working on a laptop.

Comfort and Connectivity

With its spacious cabin and available heated and ventilated seats, the new Silverado 1500 was designed from the start with all-day comfort in mind. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality make it easy to connect your favorite music and streaming media, while the 7-inch touchscreen allows you to navigate through apps and vehicle settings with only a few taps of your fingers.

Higher trim levels come with a larger touchscreen display. In addition to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Silverado has Google Assistant and Maps built in.
