2022 GMC Terrain

Four trims are offered for the 2022 GMC Terrain: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali. Standard features include exterior LED lighting, proximity keyless entry, and heated outside mirrors. Opting for the SLT will give you a hands-free liftgate and roof rails. The off-road-ready AT4 features an underbody skid plate to protect your vehicle off-road and adds an exclusive exterior design. Finally, the premium Denali adds an available Black Diamond edition, with trim-exclusive 19-inch wheels.

A 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine coupled to a nine-speed automatic transmission is the lone engine for the 2022 GMC Terrain. The 1.5-liter turbocharged engine produces 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. For drivetrain options, the SLE and SLT offer front-wheel drive as the standard and all-wheel drive as an option, while the AT4 and Denali feature all-wheel-drive as standard to help you tackle challenging terrain and inclement conditions.

Performance features for the 2022 GMC Terrain include a four-link rear suspension, four-wheel antilock disc brakes, and automatic emergency braking. In addition, you'll find a StabiliTrak electronic stability control system with traction control, a MacPherson front suspension, and performance brake linings, all there to give a better, safer driving experience. For those steeper inclines, the Terrain adds hill descent control.

GMC has put significant effort into the interior design, which is evident when you slide behind the wheel of the 2022 Terrain to find comfort and cutting-edge technology. The SUV features an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a six-speaker audio system, and a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration as standard features. Moving up to the SLT will give you a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, more USB ports, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

On top of that, the SLT adds upgrades like a high-definition rearview camera, an 8-inch touch-screen, heated and power-adjustable front seats with memory functions for the driver's seat, and a household-style outlet. Finally, the upscale and luxurious Denali gives you upgrades such as an upgraded driver information display, an integrated navigation system, a Bose premium audio system with HD radio, and a wireless charging pad. Another option with the Denali is ventilated front seats.

Nothing is more important than safety, so GMC has many standard and optional safety features. Among the standard features are a forward collision mitigation system and lane-keeping assist. In addition, depending on the trim you opt for, other safety features are available such as front and rear parking sensors, a safety alert seat, a head-up display, and a blind-spot monitor with a rear cross-traffic alert. Rounding out the safety features are adaptive cruise control and a surround-view monitor.
