2022 Chevrolet Equinox

The Chevrolet Equinox is available in four trims for 2022: LS, LT, RS, and Premier. Starting at the base LS, standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights, while opting for the LS Convenience package adds rear privacy glass. Upgrading to the LT includes the rear privacy glass and adds chrome and body-colored exterior trim for added aesthetics. In addition, the LT offers access to the Confidence & Convenience package, which will add a power liftgate and a remote engine start.

The RS sits atop 19-inch black-painted wheels and includes roof rails. Lastly, the Premier rolls down the road on 18-inch wheels and adds a hands-free power liftgate to make loading and unloading the Equinox a breeze.

Only one engine is offered for the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox, but it is all you need. The powertrain offered on the Equinox is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission making 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. With the inclusion of technology like direct injection and variable valve timing, the EPA estimated miles-per-gallon highway is an impressive 31 mpg.

Front-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain across all the trims. However, all-wheel drive is available for all trims if you're looking to tackle some rougher terrain and inclement weather. Automatic start/stop technology shuts the engine down when idle, such as at a red light or stuck in traffic, allowing you to save on fuel costs.
