2021 GMC Sierra 1500

The 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 features a bold and stylish design that makes it stand out from the crowd. It's available in base, SLE, Elevation, SLT, the rugged AT4, and luxurious Denali trim levels. Choose from a regular cab with a 98.2-inch long bed, a double cab with a 79.4-inch standard bed, or a spacious crew cab with a standard or 69.9-inch short bed. With the base trim, you get LED headlamps, distinctive C-shaped LED daytime running lights, chrome bumpers, 17-inch steel wheels, cab-mounted cargo lights, a corner step rear bumper, and LED tail lamps. The SLE offers alloy wheels, color-keyed door handles, heated mirrors, an EZ Lift tailgate, and LED cargo box lighting. Elevation models add LED fog lamps, 20-inch wheels, and color-keyed bumpers. The base model features a 4.3-liter V-6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque through a six-speed automatic transmission. Under the SLE's hood is a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine generating 310 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque via an eight-speed automatic. SLT models and higher get a 5.3-liter V-8 that delivers 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. Some models can be equipped with a 6.2-liter V-8 or a 3.-liter inline-six turbo diesel, each matched with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

With a payload of up to 2,170 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 11,800 pounds, depending on the cab, bed, and engine configuration, the Sierra 1500 has the capability to get the job done. The AT4 comes standard with all-wheel drive, which is an option for the other models.

Opting for the base model gets you air conditioning, a 3.5-inch driver information display, and an infotainment system with a 7-inch touch screen, smartphone capability, Bluetooth, and a six-speaker audio system. SLE models add a power driver's seat, heated front seats and steering wheel, cruise control, a 4.2-inch driver information display, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. The SLT trim offers driver memory functions, a power passenger seat, two 120-volt power outlets, and an 8-inch touch screen with voice activation. The top-of-the-range Denali features ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, an 8-inch driver information display, navigation, and a Bose audio system.

The Sierra's standard driver assistance technology includes electronic stability control, traction control, a rear-seat reminder, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a rearview camera. Available safety features include a following distance indicator, forward collision warning, front pedestrian braking, lane change warning, side blind zone warning, lane keep assist, lane departure alert, and rear cross-traffic warning. The available ProGrade Trailering System offers technologies to help streamline trailer hitching and towing.
